Join us for a "teach-in" on the recent standoff between the Standing Rock Sioux & the promoters of the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL).

The students of GES 337 - Natural Resource Management - have put their energy into identifying the key themes that connect with this recent standoff and working to weave those themes together as a way to reach/teach a broader public audience.  If you have been curious about this controversy and would like to learn more about the background, the positions of those who have promoted the DAPL and those opposed, as well as ways to examine these issues critically, JOIN US!

UMBC community = welcome!
Please bring along a phone as we will be polling the audience with several questions throughout the teach-in session.
